Share your love of reading with children in the Washington metro area

You can change a life by providing the individual attention that helps children build confidence and experience success. Consider being a tutor, mentor and friend for a child who needs help developing reading and language skills.

Through the Oasis Tutoring Program, volunteers, your neighborhood schools and Oasis work together to help children build reading skills, self-esteem and positive attitudes toward learning. Training and materials are provided; no teaching experience is needed.

Oasis matches volunteers with students in grades K – 4 who need help developing reading and language skills. Volunteers work one-on-one with the same child during the school year. Our tutors help children in Montgomery County and Washington DC  public schools.
