A Note from Our Director
Happy Carpe Diem Day!
Dear Oasis Friends,
Today, February 26th, is Carpe Diem Day and National Pistachio Day!
Carpe Diem comes from the Roman poet Horace. Literally translated, it means “Pluck the day.” Over the years, this saying has evolved into “Seize the day,” meaning “You have today, so make the most of it – don’t take it for granted!”
Ways to Celebrate Carpe Diem Day:
- Live today to its fullest.
- Engage with friends and honor those no longer with us.
- Experience novel topics like Caesar’s Conquest of Gaul, Off the Beaten Path in Stockholm or Matisse in Nice
- Register for an Oasis class – that enriches your life, like: Top Ten “Off the Beaten Path” Places in Montgomery County You won’t want to miss this!
I encourage you to “Seize the Day” every day along with some healthy, delicious pistachios!
-Anna
