Celebrating Centenarians
Oasis Director Leslie Pont attended a Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce event on March 10th, themed “Celebrating Centenarians: Aging Through the Century — Reflections and the Road Ahead.” This annual chamber event brings together a wide variety of businesses that serve the active adult community.
Leslie had the privilege of meeting two centenarians who were interviewed about their lives and the secrets to staying healthy and happy past 100. Their stories were a powerful reminder that strong family bonds, vibrant community connections, and a sense of purpose are at the heart of graceful, joyful aging. The event sparked meaningful conversations about the future of aging in place — and the local solutions, partnerships, and programs that will help active adults in our community thrive for decades to come. Oasis is proud to be part of that conversation.
