Sherlock Holmes has long fascinated readers and viewers alike with his many portrayals in books, television and film.  Since Holmes’ introduction to the world by author Arthur Conan Doyle in 1887, the character has given rise to an industry of Sherlockian scholarship that treats him as a real person. In this two-part class, instructor Dan Sherman will use multimedia clips to examine the beloved character of Sherlock Holmes from Doyle’s original novels to present day depictions.
